US Shipments in March Increased 7.9% YoY

According to data released by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) in May, US steel mills shipped 8.3 million short tons in March this year, an increase of 10.3% from 7.53 million short tons in February and 7.69 million short tons from March 2017. 7.9% increase.

In the first quarter, shipments of US steel mills totaled 23.46 million short tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.7%.

In terms of shipments, compared with February, the number of hot-rolled sheets increased by 12%, hot-dip galvanized sheet and strip steel increased by 11%, and cold-rolled steel sheets increased by 10%.
